Wonder Women Review

Recently I had the pleasure of watching Wonder Women. And I can honestly say it was a pleasure. I went into that movie hopeful but a bit wary. Movies starring women in more male geared genres have an extra challenge at the box office. If it’s a bad super hero movie starring majority males cast comes out no one thinks oh well we are going to stop making super hero movies.

I wanted this to be good movie not only because Wonder Women is one of my favourite DC heroes but also because DC hasn’t had a lot of good super hero movies. Suicide Squad was disappointing, Man of Steel and Batman VS. Superman were both just mediocre movies compared the movies that Marvel has released.

Wonder Women in my opinion is the best of the DC universe so far. The movie was well written, well-acted and directed. The action scenes were beautifully shot and so well done. Each battle had great action sequences and fit into the store. It didn’t feel out of place or like to much was going on. The relationships between each character felt genuine and brought you into the movie. Gal Gadot and Chris Pine did an amazing job. Their relationship on screen didn’t take away from the action of the movie. It remained a side plot line without dominating the movie as some romance tend to do.

There was only one part of the movie that got a little corny for me and it was at the very end so it didn’t really take me out of the movie. The plot of the movie could have gotten cheesy with fish out of water concept they used on Diana to illustrate how far removed she was from the world of man. But there wasn’t a moment where you doubted her commit to her cause or thought she wasn’t capable of the task ahead of her.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of comic book movies, action movie, DC or Marvel. This movie is honestly just a good time for all.

A lot of fun, regardless of it not being Marvel. Nice review.
